Notaries
An AI employee for a notary's office
A notary's office runs on files waiting for somebody else: the bank, the land registry, the estate agent, the client with a missing document. An AI employee keeps that stream moving: it sorts the inbox per file, chases whoever owes something and answers status questions. Deeds, advice and the signing appointment stay entirely human.

A file sits still more often than it moves
In a transfer or a mortgage the notary is rarely the one being waited on. The file sits with the bank, the land registry, the estate agent or the client who still has to email their ID. Tracking who is waiting on what, across dozens of live files, is a day's work, and it is exactly the task that gets dropped when there is a signing in the diary. The Email assistant sorts incoming traffic per file and keeps the outstanding items, so the question "what is this waiting on" takes one glance instead of ten minutes of searching.
Chasing without damaging a relationship
A notary's office works with the same estate agents and bank contacts year after year, which makes chasing sensitive: asking too often is annoying, asking too little costs weeks. What works is a fixed, predictable rhythm in a neutral tone, and stopping the moment the document arrives. That is exactly what automation does well and a human under pressure does badly: either asking too often, or not at all for three weeks. What goes out you see per file, and you can always take a relationship out.
Where the agent stops
It drafts no deed, gives no advice on the consequences of a choice and makes no statement about what is sensible in someone's situation. What it does is schedule, collect, remind and report status. That is also where the volume sits: a four-person office sends and receives hundreds of messages a week, and the vast majority contain no legal judgement whatsoever.
What an AI employee takes over here

Where we would start
Email assistant
“Reads your inbox, drafts the replies”
Reads incoming mail, answers the recurring questions from your own knowledge base and forwards the rest to the right person with a short summary on top. Everything it writes lands in your inbox as a draft first; you hit send. Whatever proves itself often enough can go out automatically later.
Questions from this industry
What about confidentiality and the file?
We sign a data processing agreement and limit what the agent processes to what it needs: subject, file number, sender and what is missing. The contents of deeds and advice do not go in. Everything sits in systems under your name and you can export or delete it. Exactly what gets retained we agree before we build.
Can it commit to a signing date?
Only slots genuinely free in the calendar you release, and only for the appointment types you have designated. For anything depending on documents that are not in yet, it books nothing but queues it for you with the reason attached.
