Salons

An AI receptionist for hair and beauty salons

A hairdresser or beautician with a client in the chair does not pick up, and one in three no-shows comes down to poor reachability. An AI receptionist books the appointment while you cut, sends the reminder and offers a freed slot straight to the next person. For a one or two-person salon that is the entry point: chat and WhatsApp, from €179 a month.

Why chat comes before the phone here

Unlike at a garage or an installer, a salon client prefers to book without calling. A WhatsApp message or a booking through the site is less effort, works at eleven at night and requires no conversation. That is also exactly why we start with the ChatAgent in this sector rather than the Phone Agent: the volume is there, the average treatment is too cheap to carry an expensive phone solution, and the questions are short. Anyone who does call lands on the voicemail call-back, and for a one-person salon that is usually enough.

A cancellation is an hour-long hole

With a treatment of an hour or ninety minutes, a same-morning cancellation is not easily refilled. What does work is pushing the cancellation straight to people who said they would like an earlier slot: a message to three or four of them fills the gap within the hour in most cases. That is a task nobody does by hand, because at that moment you are cutting someone's hair. The Reminder agent does it automatically, and the first to respond gets the slot.

Reviews are what moves you up the map here

For a salon the local map pack in Google is essentially the only findability that counts, and there the number and recency of reviews beats almost everything. The problem is not that clients are unwilling but that nobody asks: the moment someone pays up happy, you are already with the next one. An automated request a few hours after the appointment does ask, every time. In practice roughly one in four to one in six responds, and that climbs as your profile fills up.

Where we would start

ChatAgent

Answers, qualifies, books

The receptionist on your website and on WhatsApp, without a phone line. On your site we place the agent we build ourselves: it answers customer questions 24/7 from your own knowledge base, qualifies visitors with photo and video uploads and opens the calendar to book on the spot. On WhatsApp the same agent replies in text with choice buttons and sends people to the right page. If it doesn't know an answer, it hands the conversation to you.

incl. 1,000 conversations per month, then €0.10/conversation

Questions from this industry

Does this work with Salonized or Treatwell?

If your booking system has a calendar that syncs with Google or Outlook, the agent books straight into it. If not, we work with our own calendar that comes to the same thing, or the agent queues the booking and you confirm with one tap. We check what is possible in your case during the free scan.

Isn't €179 a month a lot for a one-person salon?

It is about two treatments a month. So the question is whether chat and WhatsApp together prevent two no-shows a month or bring in two extra bookings, and in practice that is a low bar. If you are unsure, start with the Voicemail Agent at €89: it messages back everyone you could not pick up for, and that is the cheapest gap to close.
